Animals which undergo surgery are generally hospitalised until the vets are happy with their progress; this is usually for 1 or 2 days after surgery, but may be longer for some cases such as spinal surgery cases.
During this time daily telephone reports will be made to you and afternoon visits may be possible, depending on the circumstances of your animal.
Check-up consultations for suture removal and monitoring of progress will be made as appropriate, some of these will probably be with your own vet.
